Percee P

The man. The legend.

[Jon’s had to err. . . disappear for awhile. FREE JON, FUCK EARL]

The lethal lyricist rhyme inspector emcee Percee P is the man to praise. With his impeccable rapid fire delivery, which I’d rank second only to early G. Rap, Percee is regarded as a pioneer of fast rap and since first appearing on wax alongside D-Nique on “Let the Homicides Begin” in '88 he's gone on to feature on records with/outshined emcees such as Lord Finesse, Edan, Jedi Mind Tricks, Jurassic 5 & Aesop Rock.

It wasn’t until 2007, 19 years since after his first single, that Percee finally released his debut album, adequately titled Perseverance. On the production tip, Madlib came with mad heat, which should be expected at this point in his career but despite his consistency, Madlib can occasionally craft sub-par beats and in this case the worse beat is "Put it on the line" which is, simply put - annoying/grating. Below this, I've included a video of the legendary cypher between Percee and Finesse. . . just because. What, I need a reason to post this shit?
